Fabio Cannavaro receives FIFPro World XI Award

Wednesday morning he received the FIFPro World XI Award, an important accolade chosen by professional footballers throughout the world.

FIFPro members Louis Everard and Tijs Tummers gave the FIFPro World XI Award 2006 to Cannavaro after training at Valdebebas this morning. The Club's Sporting Director Predrag Mijatovic was the first to congratulate the happy player. "I am proud of receiving this award from my colleagues," said Cannavaro, "This is the culmination of a great year and I hope it gives me strength to keep playing my best football."
